Kick Off National Park Week At Fort Mc Henry

Come kick off National Park Week at Fort McHenry!

Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine (2400 E Fort Ave Baltimore) is celebrating National Park Week this Saturday Apr 21 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. with the second Fee-Free Day of the year!

National Park Week is a great time to explore new places or reconnect with your favorite park!

As part of the celebration, entrance fees to parks across the country will be free! Visit Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine and learn more about the War of 1812, attend a program about the writing of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner,’ walk the scenic grounds, or assist a park ranger in changing the morning or evening flag!

Fort McHenry will also be celebrating National Junior Ranger Day! Kids of all ages are invited to learn, explore, and earn their very own Junior Ranger badge as they become the next generation of stewards of America’s national parks.

For more information on this amazing event, call (410) 962-4290 or visit https://www.nps.gov/fomc/index.htm.
