Shakespeare’s most famous love story has received a modern twist and is now playing live on Broadway in London. But instead of traveling to London to check out this amazing performance, you can see it right here in Baltimore!

Landmark Theatres (645 President St. Baltimore) will be showing Royal Shakespeare Company’s pre-recorded live performance of Romeo & Juliet on the big screen Tuesday Aug 21 at 7 p.m.

What if your first true love was someone you’d been told you must hate? Set in a world very like our own, Royal Shakespeare Company’s Romeo & Juliet is about a generation of young people born into violence and ripped apart by the bitter divisions of their parents. The most famous story of love at first sight explodes with intense passion and an irresistible desire for change, but leads all too quickly to heartbreaking consequences. This youthful and energetic take on Shakespeare’s tragedy, recorded earlier in 2018, is directed by Erica Whyman.

This is a special event so no passes or discounts (including Movie Pass) will be accepted. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.landmarktheatres.com/baltimore/harbor-east/film-info/royal-shakespeare-company-romeo-juliet.

Don’t miss this amazing and modern performance of Romeo & Juliet!
