Celebrate Black-Eyed Susan Day!

Spend this Friday celebrating the historic culture and relaxation of Black-Eyed Susan Day!

This year’s annual Black-Eyed Susan Day is happening at Preakness Stakes (5201 Park Heights Ave Baltimore) on Friday May 18 from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

The Black-Eyed Susan Stakes race is hosted annually at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. The race dates back to 1919 and was given graded stakes status in 1973. The Black-Eyed Susan Stakes is a counterpart to the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing alongside the Kentucky Oaks and the Acorn Stakes. These races are often unofficially referred to as the “Filly Triple Crown”. Officially, the “Filly Triple Crown” is known as the Triple Tiara of Thoroughbred Racing and consists of three races held at Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course in New York.

Flaunt your style this Friday as one of Pimlico’s oldest stakes races unfolds in front of your eyes! Gates open at 9 a.m. and the activities continue all day long. For a full schedule of events, visit http://www.pimlico.com/race-info/news/black-eyed-susan-day-schedule-events.

Tickets for this exciting day vary in price and can be purchased online at https://www.preakness.com/black-eyed-susan.
