Come celebrate Grandmothers The Peale Center!

TolbertD’Agostino Dancers present dance exhibition ‘Grandmothers’, this Friday May 11 at 8 p.m., Saturday May 12 at 8 p.m. and Sunday May 13 at 2 p.m. at The Peale Center (225 N Holliday Street Baltimore).

‘Grandmothers’ is a dance exhibition that pays homage to, reflects and honors the tremendous lessons from generational protectors both met and unmet: our grandmothers. The exhibition will be brought to the great walls of The Peale Center for Baltimore History and Architecture, the oldest museum building in the United States.

These stories will be shared by allowing the audience to view and write their own letters to their grandmothers. Each artifact and letter presented will be placed into a digital archive allowing people to connect to these stories virtually. TolbertD’Agostino Dancers will move the audience through time and space, with the idea of staying connected to matriarchal power. The Peale’s elegance will be illuminated with a transcendent dance through the perspectives of the powerful women that shape and nurture the world.

General admission tickets to this event are $20, artists and students are $15 and Grandmothers are FREE! To purchase tickets, you can visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tolbertdagostino-dance-presents-grandmothers-tickets-45160300675.
