Are you ready to celebrate a day-long arts festival celebrating arts education throughout Maryland? Then head to the Best of Maryland Arts Education Festival this weekend!

The Best of Maryland Arts Education Festival is happening this Friday Apr 20 throughout Baltimore City’s historic Mount Vernon district (1221 N Calvert St Baltimore). The festivities begin at 11 a.m. and all events are free to the public!

The community will explode with creative energy when students, artists, educators, performers, administrators, faculty, and agency professionals gather to celebrate the impact of arts education in Maryland.

First Lady Yumi Hogan, Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh and Maryland Department of Education Superintendent Dr. Karen Salmon will kick off the festival at the Washington Monument at 11:30 a.m. For a schedule and more information, you can visit www.bestofmdartsed.com.

Student Artists and Maryland Arts Alumni from across the state will exhibit their work throughout the day. Festival attendees can rotate between the five, walkable performance venues for a non-stop schedule of music, dance, theater, creative writing, visual arts, and media arts.
