Do you want to explore, learn, and find fun animals and plants in Leakin Park? Then come on out this weekend!

Make plans to attend the Leakin Park BioBlitz this Saturday Apr 28, starting at 10 a.m. This event is free and will include activities for ALL ages!

Come meet biologists, see live animals, and go searching for critters! They will have binoculars, magnifying glasses, nets, and more to go out and explore with. Record all of the species you find on iNaturalist in order to keep track of what is living in the park.

This event is being held by the Greater Baltimore Wilderness Coalition and TreeBaltimore (Baltimore City Recreation & Parks). Partners in the event are the National Aquarium, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and the National Environmental Education Foundation.

This BioBlitz is part of an international community science event called City Nature Challenge, is supported through Baltimore’s efforts in being a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Urban Bird Treaty City, and is partially funded through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
