BSO and Troupe Vertigo Presents Cirque Nutcracker
The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Troupe Vertigo have teamed up to bring you an amazing holiday performance. Cirque Nutcracker comes to Strathmore (5301 Tuckerman Ln North Bethesda) on Thursday Dec 13 at 8 p.m. and The Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall (1212 Cathedral St. Baltimore) on Friday Dec 14 at 8 p.m., Saturday Dec 15 at 3 p.m. and Sunday Dec 16 at 3 p.m.
The awe-inspiring talents of Troupe Vertigo come to the concert hall as acrobats, contortionists, jugglers, strongmen and high-flying aerialists join the BSO for this spectacular holiday-themed show.
Troupe Vertigo creates innovative theatrical experiences that are an eclectic mix of circus-dance-theater for a wide variety of audiences from the symphony hall to the festival stage. Based in Los Angeles since 2009 the company creates spellbinding performances that ignite the imagination where reality bends, expectations twist and the body embraces the imagination.
Incorporating artistic components from across different creative disciplines, Troupe Vertigo shows create stories woven together using highly stylized choreography, lighting and music to create scenes with imaginative visual landscapes.
