One of the most sought after and exciting open water swims in the world is once again happening, right here in Baltimore!

The Great Chesapeake Bay Swim will be held on Sunday Jun 11 on the shorelines of Sandy Point State Park and Bay Bridge Marina Eastern Shores. The GCBS offers both a 4.4-mile swim and a 1-mile swim on one of the most historic bodies of water in the country.

This event is a fundraiser for health and environmental nonprofits. A scholarship will be offered in the student category, as well. Awards for top fundraisers and recognition are also acknowledged for each age group winners. There is a lottery selection for the 4.4-mile swim that begins the prior year.

Spectators will find parking at Matapeake Elementary and Middle Schools. Shuttle buses will provide transportation between the parking areas and the Bay Bridge Marina throughout the day. All parking is free of charge. There will be absolutely no parking at the Bay Bridge Marina.
